Cats Available for Adoption

All cats are properly vetted. We stand by our mission to spay/neuter every single at that comes through our rescue.

Feel free to fill out an application to adopt at the bottom of this page.

Oso (Bear)

Bear was one of the cats that was pulled from The Bradley Inn condemned hotel in Windsor Locks, CT. He is not only a celebrity, but he has a calm demeanor, he is very friendly, docile, and will make a nice quiet companion for anyone. Quiet environment preferred. Bear likes to cuddle with humans and or other cats. He has low energy and likes to lounge around and eat and sleep and just be a cat. After what he went through, he deserves all of the cat days and cat naps for the rest of his days. He is healthy and ready for his furever home!

Bear was locked in the hotel without food or water with several other kitties for over 2 weeks when the town shut the business down. You can read about this here:

CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION

Dear applicant,

It is the mission of FCA to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats that have been through abandonment, surrender, homelessness, sickness, injuries and at times severe abuse or neglect. Please be patient with your new pet(s) and understand that they each have a sad story and may regress and hide or be triggered easily by loud noises or fast movements. Although the questions may seem invasive, the answers support our goal to place cats in loving and furever homes to ensure that they will never again find themselves in dire need of help from sickness, abuse or homelessness. All information is confidential.

---

Adoption fees are as follows:

Kittens $300 (2 months to 2 years old - $50 discount for a pair*)

Prime/Mature  $250 (2 + years)

Seniors - will have discounted rates case by case

*kittens under 1 must be adopted in pairs unless there is another young cat in the home

---

I attest that I have answered these questions honestly. I further understand that FCA, Inc. will make its best efforts to review my application and make the best decision for the cat. All cats are returnable. However adoption fees are not. We reserve the right to deny any application. All adoption fees include spay/neuter, first vaccines, SNAP testing, flea treatment/dewormer if needed.  However you are required to take your cat to the vet after adoption at your cost. If you prefer to use your own veterinarian for spay/neuter with kittens, please provide proof of spay/neuter appointment scheduled appointments from your veterinary clinic. This will be at your cost.

My signature below consents to the following and this application becomes a contract:

  1. I will take my cat to my veterinarian within 90 days.

  2. I agree to pay the required, applicable adoption fee listed above.

  3. I will contact FCA immediately if I should decide not to keep this cat(s).

  4. I attest that this cat (s) is for my home and not a gift and that I am not completing an application as a favor to anyone.
